Who we are
MyLinks (mylinks.ae) is a UAE digital business card platform. It hosts two kinds of page: pages created by
people who signed up, and sample pages compiled by MyLinks from information already publicly
available online, which the named individual can claim or ask us to remove at any time.
Information we collect from visitors
- Usage data. Pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site.
Collected through Jetpack Stats and Google Analytics. - Information you give us. Anything you enter in a form — for example when creating an
account, claiming a page, or requesting removal. - Cookies. Used to keep you signed in and to measure traffic. You can block cookies in your
browser; the site will still work, but account features will not.
Information published on practitioner pages
Sample pages may include a practitioner’s name, profession and specialty, clinic name and address,
professional qualifications, languages, and a photograph — drawn from sources that were already public at
the time of collection. They are provided for reference and are not endorsements.
If you are the subject of a page and would prefer it were not, you can have it removed — see below.
Your rights
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you
- correct anything inaccurate or out of date
- delete your data and remove your page
- stop processing your data, or object to how it is used
- provide your data in a portable form
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] or use the
Request removal link on the page itself. We action removal requests within 48 hours and
do not ask for a reason.
Claiming a page
If a page describes you, you can claim it free of charge and take full control of
its content, or ask for it to be deleted. Claiming does not create any obligation to keep the page.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Hosting — Pressable / Automattic
- Content delivery and security — Cloudflare
- Analytics — Jetpack Stats, Google Analytics
- Payments — Stripe, where a paid feature is used
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while the account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Sample pages are kept
until claimed or until removal is requested. Analytics data is retained according to each provider’s policy.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the administration area is restricted and protected by individual
credentials. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
